Arriving on Pritchard Hill evokes an expansive feeling of entering into a new floating world, high above Napa Valley. Its slopes open to commanding views over the valley. Your hosts for this rare evening are Chappellet Vineyard, Continuum Estate, David Arthur Vineyards, Gandona Estate and OVID Napa Valley—a “who’s who” of this enclave on the valley’s eastern slopes above Oakville, often called “Napa’s Rodeo Drive” for its show-stopping wineries.
Your delicious dinner will take place in Robert’s Grove, an orchard of 100-year-old olive trees planted in 2013 to honor Robert Mondavi on what would have been his 100th birthday. As the olive tree is a symbol of friendship and peace, so will your dinner be graced—and with lively conversation, good cheer and laughter as well!
Join us for a multi-course meal prepared by Chef Elliot Bell, proprietor of his own restaurant, Charlie’s, and former executive sous chef of The French Laundry. He will pair wines from the libraries of these esteemed vintners to showcase the exceptional ageability of the mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon for which the area is known. A longtime volunteer firefighter in St. Helena, Chef Bell is excited to open Charlie’s in 2023 to continue to serve his community.
